Tonight I Spoke To My Mom On The Phone ((PLESE RE-SHARE)) 💖
Tonight I spoke to my mom on the phone
for just a short while
You know she is now elderly
not at all the person that she was so long ago
and chasing us around and yelling kind of loud.
I asked how she was and she mechanically said I'm alright,
but somehow I knew she was not.
We got around to talking a bit and a subject came around
about my younger brother,
she said from him or his wife not a call,
not a card,
...

Not a gift not even on mothers day or even Hanuka
To acknowledge that I'm even alive
A simple hi?
No, nothing like that,
and also her grandchildren were where they?
also not a call not a care not a song.
they are not aware of the money my parents are leaving to them
so cold, how can people be like that?
I ask myself
I could tell it hurts her
I did not know she hid it so well,
but now I do.
If ever this poem reaches their far away quite shores
I hope it sticks right down their entire's family's throat.
And I also hope they stop for a second and reminisce,
stop and think of the pain they did inflict
and perhaps feel some kind of remorse
over the pain they have bestowed
all this I know
and if not
it perfectly ok
who am I to judge anyway.
